How we make it

A presentation folder is not just printing: it needs a die. It is printed flat on board or triplex, laminated if required, then die-cut to shape with the folds, flaps and business-card slot creased in. The die is what sets the minimum: making the tool costs the same for two hundred and fifty folders as for five thousand, so on short runs that cost weighs heavily per unit. Triplex has one bond side and one coated side, and it is the material that best survives handling. It only comes in the large sheet size. Lamination is not decorative on a folder: this is the most handled piece in a stationery set.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the minimum higher than on other products?
Because of the die. The tool that cuts the shape costs the same whether you make two hundred and fifty folders or five thousand, and on a short run that cost is spread across few units.
Can I reuse a die from a previous order?
If the shape is unchanged, yes, and the second order comes out considerably cheaper. Worth mentioning when you ask for a quote.
Does it include a business-card slot?
It can. The slot is part of the die, so it has to be decided before the tool is made, not afterwards.
