How we make it

These are seasonal jobs, and that matters more than the technique: they are produced between September and December, and in those months the press runs full. Ordering in August and ordering in November do not carry the same lead time. A diary combines a single-colour bond interior, a full-colour laminated coated cover, and a binding method, usually wire or spiral. A wall calendar has fewer components but more colour, and normally uses heavier coated stock so it does not curl once hung. Either way there is one date that does not move: the first of January. A delay in approving artwork eats the whole schedule.

Frequently asked questions

When should next year's diaries be ordered?
The earlier the better, and realistically September or October. From November onward the press is full of seasonal work and lead times stretch.
Can the interior be personalised with company details?
Yes. The usual approach is a single-colour interior with the logo on each page or spread, saving colour for the cover, where it shows.
Which binding survives daily use best?
Wire binding opens flat and lasts a year of daily handling. Perfect binding looks cleaner but opens poorly and suffers if the diary is used every day.
