How we make it

Stickers print on self-adhesive stock and are then cut, and that is where the decision that changes the price sits: straight guillotine cuts or a shaped die. Straight cutting costs almost nothing; a die means making a tool, which only pays off when the shape matters or the run is long. The other decision is kiss cutting, which cuts the sticker but not the backing, so it can be lifted with a fingernail. If the sticker will sit in sun or weather, paper will not last: that calls for vinyl, a different material at a different price. For indoor labelling, promotions and seals, self-adhesive paper is more than enough.

Frequently asked questions

Round, square, or a custom shape?
Square or rectangular is cheapest, because it cuts on a guillotine. Any other shape needs a die, made separately, which only makes sense above a certain quantity.
Will they survive outdoors?
Not on paper. Self-adhesive paper breaks down in rain and sun. Outdoor use means vinyl, a different material that has to be quoted separately.
Are they easy to peel off?
Yes, with kiss cutting, which cuts the sticker while leaving the backing intact. Without it you have to pick at the edge with a fingernail, which is what annoys the people using them.
