How we make it
An official form is almost always printed in a single colour and in long runs, and that combination is where offset shows its greatest advantage: one plate will carry tens of thousands of impressions, so the price per thousand drops sharply as quantity rises. What usually complicates the job is not the printing but the details: sequential numbering, sets with an original and copies, boxes at exact dimensions so a stamp or a machine lines up, and sometimes folding. Copies use 55 gsm paper, the thinnest the press will take, so pen pressure reaches the sheets underneath. Proofreading the form beforehand is where the job is won or lost.
