Folding cartons

How we make it
A folding carton is printed flat and becomes a box afterwards, which is why the die governs the whole project. The tool cuts the shape and creases the folds and tabs, and making it costs the same for five hundred boxes as for ten thousand. Before anything is printed, a blank mock-up is built, folded by hand, and checked: does it close, does it hold the weight, does the product sit comfortably inside. That step looks like a formality and it is what saves you from scrapping an entire run. Triplex is the usual material because it has a coated side to print on and a bond side that gives rigidity. Lamination protects the box from transport wear.
